Another Company Who Doesn't Keep To They're End Of the Deal

UGH!!! Not Again... Editorial

So, I'm having a run in with yet another company who will lie to get your business, sign you up to a 2 year contract and yet NOT live up to their end of the deal. Who is it?
The company is ClearWire, they supply internet services. They claim to run off Sprint towers and say that if you can use your Sprint cell phone that you will be able to receive 4G internet services with them. THEY LIED!!!!
My home is in Pearland, Texas and I have ClearWire internet services with them at my home, so when I called to inquire about their ClearWire HotSpot, I was excited to hear that if I have a Sprint phone, which I do, that I should have no problem receiving their 4G HotSpot services. To my disappointment, I've been paying the $73.58 a month bill with no luck of using my HotSpot. When I called to cancel the service with no charge to me because of the misleading sales speech, I was deeply disappointed that they wanted to charge me $40.00 to get out of the contract that they did not honor.
The fight continues, and I will keep you all updated on how ClearWire plans to handle the situation.
Wish me luck.

What the Hell????

So, in June, my husband bought me a tanning package at "At The Beach" ( a spray tan application ). The day he purchased it and signed a contract I used the service, I noticed a really bad blotching and itching, I marked it off because I had lotion on and figured there was a reaction. The next day, I went back and tried it again. Same thing happened, I went to a Dr. who told me I was allergic and don't use it again. I called At The Beach, informed them of the situation and was told, "Don't worry about it." You've only had the contract 2 days, we can cancel it, NO PROBLEM". 3 weeks later, I'm online checking my account and noticed not 1
BUT 2 charges from AT THE BEACH.
So, I called back and spoke with "Customer Service", ( who by the way, I've spoken to less educated, hateful, mean people who were nicer than that B----), anyway, she proceeded to tell me, too bad, I could either use a tanning bed OR just continue to pay for a service I was allergic to. I then told her, well, technically, your company just broke our contract due to the overcharge. She laughed at me, hung up, and charged my account again which resulted in, mega insufficient funds charges from another corrupt institution, US BANK, ( that's another day).
Through US BANK, I filed a fraud report, filled out 5-6 forms explaining situation, faxed several records over to them hoping and praying they would back me up.
Well, that didn't happen. AT THE BEACH got away with over charging me and US BANK totally screwed me on 3 INSF charges.

Can someone please tell me why an individual can miss a payment on a contract, or make a late payment, and be in default of a contract but a corporation can over charge, not supply service or product specified in contract and get away with it.

Customer Service is DEAD and GONE at " AT THE BEACH" and US Bank. The customer is never right and costumer service reps act more like polititians, telling you what you want to hear in order to get your John Hanncock on the dotted line, then they are on their own agenda.

SAD!!!!!!
Don't fret, I'm sooooo NOT done with them yet, wish me luck.

The man trying to stick it to me again

The Man thought he could get me AGAIN!!!!!!
Editorial Bad Business

Well, right after my posting on Direct TV, a rep from Comcast emailed me to tell me that I should come over to them. That they are such a better company and that they would NEVER treat me that way. So, I did. I went to Comcast and ordered a bundle deal that included a home phone, internet, wireless, and cable with 2 DVR's and 1 digital box. They said, "No Problem". So, I arranged for them to come out on Sunday, Dec 19th, 2009. So, the guy came out but there was a problem. He came out with phone hookup and 1 digital box and that was it. He explained to me that only 60% of their work orders were correct and that mix ups like this happen all the time.
STRIKE 1!!!
So, I proceed to get a rep on the phone who apologized profusely and PROMISED to have someone at my house the following morning to correct the order. So, I stayed home from work to get this business taken care of. Well, you can imagine my surprise when 2PM arrived and I hadn't received so much as a phone call from Comcast. I went ahead, took a deep breath and dialed the 1800 # as calmly as possible. I explained to the rep what had taken place the day before and as she looked up my account she informed me that the order WAS complete and that no other items had been ordered.
STRIKE 2!!!
After I thought my head would explode, I of course yelled loudly and demanded she get a supervisor. After that idiot got on the phone, he assured me several times that a different installer would be out the following morning to complete the order. ( Now we are going on day 3, Tuesday the 21st).
Well, the next morning, the installer showed up. Did he have the complete order? HELL NO!!!! He only brought with him another digital box. No HD DVR. No reg DVR, and NO INTERNET OR WIRELESS. I walked straight to the fridge and downed a beer so fast that I don't believe I even tasted it. So after telling him to get a supervisor on the phone, I walked to my room and screamed repeatedly into a poor pillow that I was also punching.
YUP, You Guessed It - STRIKE 3!!!
When the uneducated and pathetic supervisor got on the phone, I proceeded to ask him, "Why does your sorry GD company insist on lying to their customers?" This idiot responded by saying, "What kind of person are you to be using God's name in vain?" After the initial shock of his question, I whispered a "Please forgive me Lord" and asked him, "Who in the hell he thought he was to be questioning my morality when all I've gotten from anyone in the 3 days of Comcast service was lies."
So by now, I'm ready to put their equipment on the sidewalk and tell them to come get this crap when I got a call saying, another installer is on his way with the rest of the order. FINALLY, I thought and I waited as patiently as I could.
Now mind you, I had already wasted 3 days of work and countless hours on the phone with this sorry ass company when the 3rd guy showed up. Yes, he had the correct equipment and yes he was very nice, but did he know how to install everything? HELL NO!!!!!!!
STRIKE 4!!!!
After 2 hours, he left. The DVR's worked, the internet worked, but he could not get the wireless to work. I was fed up! I told him to leave and I got on the phone with tech support to help me set up the wireless. I dialed the 1800 # to NetTech and directed to a call center out of India. Can I get a F-ing break? I have nothing against anyone in India but I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND anything he said. I was tired, frustrated, and sick to death of dealing with this CRAP. So, I did what any other tired, angry, frustrated, hormonal, menopausal, bi-polar woman would do......... I hung up the phone and threw it across the room. I hunkered down in front of the computer and attempted to fix it myself. After 4 hours and alot of cussing, I finally got it installed. I finally had a complete order.
On the 5th day, I got a bill via email for, get this, $418.00 I thought to myself, "Shelly, give up. Just roll over and get the screwing that they had been trying to give me. No dinner, no movie, not even a good night kiss. Just a real good screwing." I decided not to deal with it anymore for a couple of days.
STRIKE 5!!!
A week later, I decided to post my complaints on Comcast.com's comments. I described in detail all the crap they had put me through and how disgusted I was with everyone from the woman who took the order to all the idiot's I had to speak with in order to get 1 fricken order completed.
A few days later, a man with Comcast named Timothy emailed me to express what I thought was pure regret and concern for all the troubles I have had with the service and he issued a $150.00 credit. I thanked him but told him that until some of these issues were fixed, he would probably continue to have the same trouble with other new customers. he replied by saying in short that he undeerstood but since I was only a residential customer and not a big business account, he could care less.
Ain't that a B-tch?

So, to the lady who responded to my post and encouraged me to go to Comcast...... Bite me
To all the idiot reps...... Bite me
and to Mr. Timothy and Comcast in general...................... Kiss My Ass!!!!!!

A new "IDIOT OF THE WEEK"

Talking about Another IDIOT Company
Editorial BAD BUSINESS
Shelly Michalk 11/16/2009

Have you ever subscribed for a 7 day free trial of something but had to give your credit card number?
Well in my new endeavor to be more efficient and organized, I signed up for a FREE 7-day subscription to a web-site called,
Organize Yourself

They claim to put you on a so-called schedule to help pull all aspects of your life together. I tested it out for a few days and decided it wasn't for me.
It actually was VERY time consuming and alot of work, (and I already have enough of that in my life) So 3 days before my TRIAL period was up, I cancelled the subscription.
I didn't recieve a response or confirmation to the effect of the cancellation, so, I did it agian and still no answer when I called the company, no response from messages left, NOTHING!
The people working down there at Organize Yourself must be,
A) EXTREMELY BUSY
B) EXTREMELY UN-ORGANIZED
or
C) PLAIN CROOKS
(If you guess C, you were right.)

Those idiots charged my account even after I cancelled.
What the HELL is wrong with companies today that they can continue to steal from hard working individuals who follow the agreement terms and still get taken
So, the winner of the "sorriest company of the week" award
goes to...
Drum roll please......................................................

The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Business

The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Business

So the other day, my DIRECTV went out once again. So they sent me to a special part of the company called, (check this out) CASE MANAGEMENT!!!! It is a special dept that handles customers who have had a really bad time with the satisfaction level of service from the idiots that work there, or as I like to say, the lack of satisfaction from having to deal with people who truly hate their job.I'm not going to lie, I have major issues paying so much for a product that doesn't work and even more issues having to sit on the phone for over an hour to get the problem fixed. ( I feel they should be putting me on the payroll, but that is clearly another story at another time. Anyway, after having to tell the 6th idiot, I mean, retention specialist, and I use that term very loosely, my name, account info, and the problem, I am told, no PROMISED that I would get a call back within 2 hours to set up an appointment. THAT CALL NEVER HAPPENED, (SHOCKER, HUH?). Anyway, I was just about to call Comcast when the white van pulled in front of my driveway, his name was Calvin and he said that he only gets sent to SPECIAL customers like me. I took special to mean, BITCHY, LOL. After Calvin fixed one of the receivers, he went on to check the others and it actually turned out to be minor, unlike the month before when the receiver made a big noise and pretty smoke. Calvin had me all fixed up in no time and told me that he has been appointed my personal Directv technician. Cheers to you Calvin, out of all the idiots at that company, they finally managed to hire someone with a brain, a heart, and who actually knows the meaning of customer retention.
Will I end up a Comcast customer? Who knows, that depends on whether Calvin's co-workers and employers grow a brain. We as customers are looked at by big business as a bottom line, and quite frankly, I"M SICK OF IT. So tune in again to see who pisses me off next.
